"La Traviata": Sept. 29-Oct. 15 and Jan. 11-26. With sopranos Elizabeth Futral/Renee Fleming as Violetta, tenors Joseph Calleja/Matthew Polenzani as Alfredo and baritones Mark Delavan/Thomas Hampson as Ger-mont in a revival of Lyric's 1993 production. Bruno Bartoletti and Andrew Davis will share conducting duties.
"La Boheme": Oct. 1-Nov. 23. With sopranos Angela Gheorghiu/Serena Farnocchia as Mimi, tenors Roberto Aronica/Gwyn Hughes Jones as Rodolfo, soprano Nicole Cabell as Musetta, baritone Quinn Kelsey as Marcello, bass Andrea Silvestrelli as Colline and baritone Levi Hernandez as Schaunard in a revival of Lyric's 1972 pro-duction, directed by Renata Scotto and conducted by Andrew Davis.
"Giulio Cesare": With countertenor David Daniels in the title role, soprano Danielle di Niese as Cleopatra, countertenor Christophe Dumaux as Ptomley, mezzo Maite Beaumont as Sesto, mezzo Patricia Bardon as Cor-nelia, bass-baritone Wayne Tigges as Achilla and countertenor Gerald Thompson as Nireno. David McVicar di-rects the Glyndebourne Festival production, with Emmanuelle Haim conducting.
"Die Frau Ohne Schatten": Nov. 16-Dec. 20. With soprano Deborah Voigt as the Empress, tenor Robert Dean Smith as the Emperor, baritone Quinn Kelsey as the Spirit Messenger, mezzo-soprano Jill Grove as the Nurse, bass Frank Hawlata as Barak and soprano Christine Brewer as Barak's wife. Director Paul Curran makes his Lyric debut. Andrew Davis conducts.
"Doctor Atomic": Dec. 14-Jan. 19. With Gerald Finley as Robert Oppenheimer, Richard Paul Fink as Edward Teller, Eric Owens as Gen. Leslie Groves, Thomas Glenn as Robert Wilson, James Maddalena as Jack Hub-bard and Roger Honeywell as James Nolan. The role of Kitty, Oppenheimer's wife, will be announced later. Di-rected by Peter Sellars (who also designed the sets) and conducted by Robert Spano.
"Falstaff": Jan. 28-Feb. 23. With baritone Ambrosio Maestri as Falstaff, soprano Veronica Villarroel as Alice Ford, baritone Peter Mattei as Ford, contralto Bernadette Manca di Nissa as Dame Quickly, soprano Stacey Tappan as Nannetta and tenor Bryan Griffin as Fenton. The role of Meg Page will be announced later. This re-vival of Lyric's 1999 production is directed by Olivier Tambosi. Andrew Davis conducts.
"Barber of Seville": Feb. 16-March 22. With tenor Juan Diego Florez as Count Almaviva, mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato as Rosina, baritone Nathan Gunn as Figaro, bass-baritone Andrew Shore as Dr. Bartolo, bass-baritone Wayne Tigges as Don Basilio. The revival of Lyric's 1989 John Copley-designed production will be conducted by Donato Renzetti.
"Eugene Onegin": March 1-30. With baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky as Onegin, soprano Barbara Frittoli as Tatiana, tenor Frank Lopardo as Lensky, mezzo-soprano Nino Surguladze as Olga and bass Vitalij Kowaljow as Prince Gremin. The revival of the Metropolitan Opera production, originally directed by Robert Carsen and last seen at Lyric in 1991, will be directed by Paula Suozzi in her Lyric debut. Andrew Davis conducts.
