Yo, como soy un poco menos anglototal que Sharpy, me quedo con Wendy Hiller toda exaltada en plan "y si alguien quiere saber lo que pienso yo de Enrique VIII, que venga aqui y que me lo pregunte".

Gran película, magnífica en lo visual, y esa música tan peculiar que tiene;

los diálogos son de lo más idiotas en ocasiones, eso sí, y James Dean está ABSOLUTAMENTE INSOPORTABLE, como siempre, vamos. Con otro actor podría haber sido una película sublime.

El gran personaje de esa película es Sal Mineo

Wendy Hiller está enorme, aunque quien en esa peli no lo está!

A Melchior le pone caliente ver a la Dietrich? Niño, te hacía con mejor gusto (no, la Dietrich no me parece atractiva... amí me va más la Garbo, qué se le va a hacer!)

Y pal Suther: Dean está sublime en Rebelde sin causa. Isoportable está en las oytras dos que hizo, puede, pero en esa...
Aunque lo mejor de la peli sea Sal Mineo, claro!

Os recomiendo "La cinta blanca" (Das weisse Band), de Michael Haneke a todos a quien os guste el Cine con mayúsculas como se hacía antes.
No es para pasar un rato agradable, sino para reflexionar y devanarse los sesos. Si alguien quiere saber lo que significa dirección de actores, progresión dramática y creación de ambiente que vaya a verla.

Qué grande es ese diálogo del hombre para la eternidad (y qué bien les vendría a algunos aprenderselo de memoria en este país).

Y qué bien retrata la inteligencia tan sutil del More real.

Incluyo un fragmento de una carta a su hija (no busquen, que ya lo hice yo: without the iubarding of my soul significa "sin exponer mi alma al peligro"):

Lo único que me ha chocado es que yo recordaba más lejos el puente de la torre y el parlamento ntre sí Han llegado como con una carrera de una a otra

que bien que ya esten preparando una 2º parte en alguna de las secuelas estaría guay que saliera el hermano de Sherlock (quedaría cañero, como cuando sale papi Sparrow en Piratas 3 )

en cuanto a la historia, me ha recordado a "el ilusionista"; y la relación de personajes (y no digo que tengan nada que ver) me ha recordado a Indiana Jones 3, con toda esa acción pero con dialogos y miradas entre Watson (mira que no me acaba Jude Law, pero que mole de Watson) y Holmes en plan:

-¿cómo sabías que era nazi? (Indy)
-porque habla en sueños (Papi IndY)

Resumen de lo que he visto esta semana:

-Sherlock Holmes: hay que verla. Una peli de aventuras como Dios manda: entretenida, bien ambientada, buenas actuaciones y con una música y fotografía sobresalientes.
-"La cinta blanca": Un retrato muy interesante de la moral y educación germanas de principios del siglo XX. Me gustó bastante, aunque el desarrollo es un poco lento. Hay diálogos que dejan K.O. por su contundencia.
-"Deathwatch" (2002): peli de terror ambientada en las trincheras de la Primera Guerra Mundial. El tema promete mucho más de lo que ofrece la película. Lo mejor, la ambientación.
