On June 18th, the Spanish tenor Oscar Marín will again sing the tenor part of Verdi's Requiem in Klagenfurt on the "Wörthersee-Bühne" under the baton of Michael Lessky with the Junge Philharmonie Wien.

Born in Palma de Mallorca, the young Spanish tenor, Oscar Marín received his musical formation and voice training in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia with such renowned conductors and singers as Francesca Roig, Montserrat Caballé, Jaime Aragall, Carlos Chausson, Enrique Baquerizo, Raúl Giménez, José Collado, Marco Evangelisti and Miguel Ortega.
In 1999, he made is debut at the Open Air Classic Festival in Berlin with Montserrat Caballé, under the baton of José Collado. Since then Oscar Marín performed in recitals and concerts in all important Concert Halls and Opera Houses in Europe, such as the Royal Albert Hall in London, the St. John's Smith Square London, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Festival Hall of Baden-Baden, the Music Hall Hamburg, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Liederhalle Stuttgart, the Cologne Philharmonic, the Stadthalle Rostock, the Musik- und Kongresshalle Lübeck, the Stadthalle Braunschweig, the Stadthalle Siegen, the Völklinger Hütte Saarbrücken, Prague National Theatre, the auditorium Vaucluse de Le Thor and the Salle du Pint Galant Bordeaux.
Oscar Marín has been invited to a big number of international Festivals such as the XV. Festival Internacional Peralada, the Festival de Música y Danza Alicante, the Euro Mediterranean Festival in Ostia Antica, the Festival di Pasqua Rom, the Flâneries Musicales d'Été Reims, the Festival en Valois Angoulême, the Nuits d'Encens Aigues-Mortes, Moskow Spring Festival and the International UNESCO-Festival Moscow.
He has been working with important orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra London, the Radio-Philharmonic Orchestra of the NDR Hannover, the Philharmonic Orchestra Budapest, the Orchestra Regionale de Roma e Lazio, the Philharmonic Orchestra Moskow, the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra Rome and the Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau with conductors such as José Collado, Antonio Guadagno, Christian Thielemann, Roberto Paternostro and Miguel Ortega.
Oscar Marín has also participated in various televised concerts such as "Stars of tomorrow" at the German TV ZDF and ARTE (in 2002 with the soprano and moderator Eva Lind).
In the year 2000, he recorded a CD with Montserrat Caballé under the title "Roses from 2000", released with BMG Classics,, where he sings the duet of Saint Sulpice from "Manon" by Jules Massenet .
In 2001 he performed in the AIDS Gala of the Deutsche Oper Berlin together with Agnes Baltsa, Lucia Aliberti, Karan Armstrong, Vladimir Chernov, Sergei Larin, Richard Leech and others. That same year, he sang with in a benefit concert for the Church "La Sagrada Familia" in Barcelona" with Montserrat Caballé.
Oscar Marín also participated in the documentary film on Montserrat Caballé under the title of "Caballé más allá de la música".
Upcoming engagements are two concerts with "Verdi Requiem" at the Cathedral of St. Stephen's in Vienna and in a Summer Festival on the Wörthersee in Carinthia (Austria).
